SomaDynamics has worked with GM Holden in occupant packaging and CAD design to create a digital model of a specific vehicle to enable manufacturers to understand how humans fit into and interact within that vehicle environment.
SomaDynamics managed the Digital Manikin Ingress Egress Project for the Auto CRC. Using motion capture, SomaDynamics developed a tool for GM Holden (Australia and North America) to inform a more human centred vehicle architecture by better understanding the specific body movements and stresses involved in entering and exiting vehicles.
SomaDynamics has created digital models with the view to optimising occupant packaging for armoured vehicles. By inserting digital manikins into a 3D vehicle environment SomaDynamics is able to demonstrate how personnel fit into and interact with armoured land vehicles. This information can be vital when assessing vehicles for acquisition.
